The month of March has brought along new hope of racing on the horizon. Time Trials have started showing up on CTT and for the first time in a year there might be a chance of some road racing which will be met with a very warm welcome from me and many others I’m sure.
Back to the present and there’s been plenty of build up to my first race at the Catford CC 10 mile TT on the 10th of April and also the VCL U18 2-day event at cyclopark on the 10th and 11th of April.
I’m very lucky to have a very local circuit called Betteshanger close to my house and this is where I’ve been testing equipment, position and some secret data capture. It was great to have my new teammate Sam Hodge come up to the circuit at the weekend to do some testing and get ready for the seemingly packed season we have ahead of us.
Alongside waiting for our racing to start, as cycling fans we have been treated to some unbelieveable and amazing racing in the pro peloton. Notably Mathieu Van Der Poel, Wout Van Aert and Julian Alaphilippe to name a few of the superstars lighting up racing at this stage. It’s been extremely exciting to watch and is motivating me more to get stuck into racing when it arrives.
I’m as motivated as ever and thanks again to the world class coaching I’m very lucky to have from trainSharp, I’m looking forward to showing the fruit of my labours when I get to the start line for the first time.
Thanks once again to trainSharp and the teams sponsors and Pedal Potential, let’s make 2021 a year to remember for the right reasons.
Thanks
Lance
