After the South East Championships, I was told by several people that my VCL aero sock exceeded the UCI maximum sock length regulation that is also enforced within British Cycling. So I searched for UCI legal aero socks and I came across Rule 28.
The reassurance of the first line in the description of their Whiteline aero sock being “Fully UCI legal” was a big factor that led to me choosing Rule 28.
I had a look around their site a little more and found the Rule 28 aero gloves and as no gloves is frowned upon in track racing, I thought it was safer to not risk a word from the Commissaires about not wearing gloves.
Both of these products are very good and were not extremely expensive.
I can’t wait to try them at the Track National Championships in less than a week!
